Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Surgical Inpatient unit requiring travel experience and a Level 1 trauma center background.
Details
- Acute care setting within a Level 1 trauma center
- Unit: 8CD - Med Surg - Surgical Inpatient RN
- Adult trauma, medical and surgical patients with a wide range of needs, including Trauma/Orthopedic Trauma and TJC-certified Hip Fracture Program
- 32-bed unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5 days and 1:5-6 nights
- 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and holiday required
- Schedule may rotate between day and night blocks depending on unit needs
- Will consider 36 or 48 hour weekly schedules
- Uses EPIC EMR and AcuDose equipment
- Floating required to Medical Surgical units at Broadway, SMCF, and South University locations if needed
Requirements
- Active ND or Compact RN license required
- Active BLS certification through AHA required
- Minimum 1 year recent Medical Surgical nursing experience in a large hospital setting (200+ beds)
- Experience working in a busy Level 1 trauma center required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Willingness and ability to float to other Med Surg units across 3 Fargo locations
Additional Information
- Provide inpatient RN care including electronic documentation, assessments, and patient education
- All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
- Navy blue scrub color required
- Self-scheduling available, though assigned days off may be adjusted to balance unit staffing needs
- Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
- Candidates living 60 to 80 miles from the facility qualify only for the local candidate rate
- Candidates who previously worked for Sanford Health must have an end date at least 6 months prior to consideration
