Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU/PICU night shift position requiring active NJ license and NBRC certification.

Details

• Neonatal and pediatric critical care unit setting
• Neonatal critical care and pediatric patient population
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required (Friday/Saturday)
• Float between pediatric units and NICU based on facility needs, with possible floating to adult units on main campus
• Uses Servo-I, Servo-U, and V60 BiPAP equipment
• EPIC charting system used

Requirements

• Minimum 1.5 years of experience required
• PICU and NICU experience required
• Active NJ license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS and RRT certification required
• NBRC certification required
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP required; may be obtained onsite for travelers
• Proficiency in blood gas collection, ventilator initiation and management, BiPAP and high-flow therapy management, and chest physiotherapy
• Experience with medication administration and in-house patient transport
• Code response experience required

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services to critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients
• Participate in code response and in-house patient transport as needed
• First-time travelers accepted
• Former employees of the health system must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
