Description
American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least one year of PACU experience and a GA or compact RN license.
Details
- Hospital-based PACU unit caring for patients ranging from adolescents to geriatrics
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 20:00 to 8:30
- Uses Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems
- Every other weekend rotation required unless otherwise specified
- Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
- On-call/backup coverage required on a rotating weekday and weekend basis over a 6-week schedule, shared among staff
Requirements
- Active GA or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of PACU experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- PALS certification preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
Additional Information
- Scrubs provided by the facility
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, must be finalized at time of submission
- No RTO permitted during orientation week or after offer/onsite
- Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Previous Piedmont employees (perm, per diem, or FCSS) must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
- Returning travelers who were cancelled or given a DNR must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
