Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU/PICU position requiring at least 1.5 years of neonatal and pediatric critical care experience.
Details
- Neonatal Critical Care unit caring for pediatric and neonatal patients
- 3x12 day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend (Friday/Saturday) required
- May float between pediatric units and NICU, and occasionally to adult units on main campus
- Uses Servo-I, Servo-U, and V60 BiPAP equipment
- EPIC charting system
Requirements
- Active New Jersey RT license required (if applicable)
- BLS, NBRC, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required (ACLS, PALS, and NRP may be obtained onsite)
- Minimum 1.5 years of experience required
- PICU and NICU experience required
- Skilled in blood gas collection, ventilator and BiPAP initiation/management, high-flow therapy, chest PT, code response, and medication administration
- EPIC charting experience required
Additional Information
- Perform in-house patient transport and respond to codes as needed
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Former RWJBH employees (FT or PRN) must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted and approved prior to offer
