Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a NICU position requiring an active Ohio or compact RN license and NICU experience with line and ventilator competencies.

Details

  • NICU unit within a children's hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
  • Weekend rotation required, typically every 3rd weekend to align with unit staffing
  • Float to inpatient units when not needed in the NICU
  • Shifts scheduled based on unit needs

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted RN license in Ohio or compact license required
  • Current BLS/CPR and NRP certifications required
  • Associate degree required, BSN preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required, 2+ years preferred
  • Competent in central line, PICC, and umbilical line care
  • Skilled in all forms of O2 delivery including nasal cannula, high flow, CPAP, NIV, and ventilator management
  • G-tube and trach experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide direct nursing care to neonatal ICU patients
  • Navy blue scrub top with navy blue or black scrub pants required
  • Former permanent employees of the facility must wait 6 months before being eligible for consideration
