Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Cardiology/PCU unit requiring 1-2 years of IMC or Cardiology experience and charge nurse capability.

Details

• Level III trauma center providing medical, surgical, and rehabilitation services
• Cardiology and Intermediate Care (IMC) unit with 24 beds
• Adult to geriatric patient population
• Common diagnoses include STEMI, NonSTEMI, Stroke, Post Cath, and ETOH
• Day shift schedule (0700-1930)
• Patient ratios vary by shift: IMC patients 1RN-3 with active titrating drips, 1RN-4 IMC patients on days, 1RN-5-6 Med/Surg patients on days, and 1RN-4-5 IMC and 1RN-5-6 Med/Surg patients on nights
• Uses standard cardiology monitoring equipment including telemetry and T-1 monitors, IV pumps, and crash carts
• Cerner EMR used
• Floating required to units of need, typically PCU, Medical, Surgical, or Nephrology
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required, must be from the American Heart Association
• 1 year of experience required, 2 years of IMC or Cardiology experience preferred
• Associate Degree in Nursing or higher required
• Must be able to serve as charge nurse

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to cardiology and IMC patients, including those on active titrating drips
• Reports to the RN Manager
• Reside within the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah
