Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring ACLS and PALS certifications and a minimum of 2 years of ED experience.

Details

• 16-bed emergency department in a 126,000 sq ft hospital operating around the clock
• Adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient population presenting with emergent, urgent, and trauma cases
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Uses cardiac monitors and bladder scan equipment
• Charts in Medhost EDIS
• Night shift schedule from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 weekly guaranteed hours with every other weekend required
• Occasional floating may be required
• No call requirements
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: ACLS and PALS (AHA certifications required)
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) minimum required
• Experience with vent management and care of critical and trauma patients required
• Experience with port access, IV therapy, and phlebotomy required
• Experience with cardiac drips and moderate sedation required
• Experience caring for behavioral health patients required
• ED and trauma experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care to a wide range of patients including critical, trauma, and behavioral health cases
• Team-based work environment requiring the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Black scrubs required; no t-shirts, capri pants, clothing with inappropriate wording or images, or open-toe shoes permitted
• Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel assignment
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
