Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift (7P-7A) assignment requiring at least 1 year of experience and one completed travel assignment.
Details
- Medical Surgical Combination unit in a 205-licensed-bed Joint Commission accredited hospital
- Adult patient population with a 1:6 patient ratio and high turnover
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Weekend work required every other weekend
- No call requirements
- Uses Paragon EHR
- Rare floating possible to inpatient rehab or ER for tasking
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience with at least 1 completed travel assignment
- Must be able to start IVs, insert foley catheters, and insert NG tubes
- Experience performing EKGs and managing heparin drips required
- Experience with high patient turnover and 1:6 ratios preferred
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care within a large, comprehensive Med/Surg unit at a regional hospital with an advanced ICU and PCU
- Facility holds an "A" LeapFrog Hospital Safety Rating
- Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
