Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro Critical Care Unit position requiring 2 years of neuro critical care experience and an active MD or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Neurosciences Critical Care Unit (NCCU), a Neuro ICU setting
• Care for patients with severe brain injuries, stroke, brain tumors, and post-op neurosurgical needs, as well as nerve and muscle diseases
• Uses Epic EMR
• Rotating 7A/7P shifts
• 36 hours per week with no guaranteed hours
• Required to work 3 of every 6 weekends
• On-call responsibilities of 2 shifts per 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Float as needed to areas of like skill set, including ICU and IMC

Requirements

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS, Critical Care Certification, and trauma course certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro Critical Care experience required
• Experience in a comparable facility size required (500+ bed count)
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Provide specialized post-operative neurosurgical care to neurologically complex patients
• Serve as a care provider interfacing between the brain and other vital organ systems
• Orientation occurs on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
