Description

American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring active NC or compact RN licensure and L&D experience across triage, delivery, postpartum, and OR/PACU duties.

Details

• 8-bed LDRP unit with 7 overflow postpartum beds
• Nurses rotate through triage, labor and delivery, postpartum, OR circulating, PACU recovery, and nursery care for sick babies
• Ratio of 1:1 for critical situations such as Category III fetal heart rate or active pushing
• 2 nurses assigned per birth, one for mother and one for baby
• 1 nurse per 2-3 mother-baby couplets during postpartum care
• 12-hour night shifts
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• L&D nursing experience required
• Charge experience is a plus but not required
• COVID vaccination card or approved declination required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care across triage, labor and delivery, postpartum, OR, and PACU settings
• Care for mother-baby couplets and assist with critical fetal monitoring situations
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as traveler rate
• No radius rule for this position
• Permanent employees must be separated from the facility for 90 days before returning as a traveler
• Two doses of COVID-19 vaccine or an approved declination required; booster not currently required
