Description
American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring active NC or compact RN licensure and L&D experience across triage, delivery, postpartum, and OR/PACU duties.
Details
- 8-bed LDRP unit with 7 overflow postpartum beds
- Nurses rotate through triage, labor and delivery, postpartum, OR circulating, PACU recovery, and nursery care for sick babies
- Ratio of 1:1 for critical situations such as Category III fetal heart rate or active pushing
- 2 nurses assigned per birth, one for mother and one for baby
- 1 nurse per 2-3 mother-baby couplets during postpartum care
- 12-hour night shifts
- 36 hours per week
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- L&D nursing experience required
- Charge experience is a plus but not required
- COVID vaccination card or approved declination required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive care across triage, labor and delivery, postpartum, OR, and PACU settings
- Care for mother-baby couplets and assist with critical fetal monitoring situations
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate as traveler rate
- No radius rule for this position
- Permanent employees must be separated from the facility for 90 days before returning as a traveler
- Two doses of COVID-19 vaccine or an approved declination required; booster not currently required
