Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Specialty Unit/Telemetry position requiring telemetry experience on a new Cardiac Progressive Stepdown unit.

Details

• Work in a 26-bed Cardiac Specialty Unit within a Cardiac Progressive Stepdown environment
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Unit staffed with charge nurse, bedside nurse, PCT, and unit secretary
• Uses pacemaker equipment for cardiac patients
• Documentation completed in Meditech
• Shift runs 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Self-scheduling model used for shift assignments
• Day shift requires three weekend shifts in a four-week period; night shift requires four weekend shifts in a four-week period
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to Telemetry, Med/Surg, and Observation Short Stay units

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry experience required
• Experience managing cardiac patients post-procedure preferred
• Experience with titration of IV cardiac medications, heparin, and insulin required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Care for cardiac patients on a brand new Cardiac Progressive Stepdown unit
• Perform titration of IV medications including cardiac drips, heparin, and insulin
• Required uniform is royal blue scrub top with black pants
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
