Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Specialty Unit/Telemetry position requiring telemetry experience on a new Cardiac Progressive Stepdown unit.
Details
- Work in a 26-bed Cardiac Specialty Unit within a Cardiac Progressive Stepdown environment
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Unit staffed with charge nurse, bedside nurse, PCT, and unit secretary
- Uses pacemaker equipment for cardiac patients
- Documentation completed in Meditech
- Shift runs 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Self-scheduling model used for shift assignments
- Day shift requires three weekend shifts in a four-week period; night shift requires four weekend shifts in a four-week period
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required to Telemetry, Med/Surg, and Observation Short Stay units
Requirements
- Active KS or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry experience required
- Experience managing cardiac patients post-procedure preferred
- Experience with titration of IV cardiac medications, heparin, and insulin required
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Care for cardiac patients on a brand new Cardiac Progressive Stepdown unit
- Perform titration of IV medications including cardiac drips, heparin, and insulin
- Required uniform is royal blue scrub top with black pants
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
