Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with a CO or compact RN license, requiring 3 years of OR experience and Level I or II trauma experience.

Details

• Work in a 41-OR department at a Level 1 Trauma Center
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift, 4x12 hours, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with occasional float to 8:45 AM or 10:45 AM starts
• Must work 3 night shifts per assignment
• Weekend coverage as needed
• On-call required as needed, approximately 3 shifts per 8-week schedule period
• Float to other UCH OR units within scope as needed
• Cases include General, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastic surgery

Requirements

• Active CO or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience required
• Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience required
• At least one completed travel assignment required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with a broad range of surgical procedures including gynecologic, plastics, neurologic, trauma, general surgery, urology, and ENT cases
• Ability to confirm and circulate craniotomy cases

Additional Information

• Level 1 Trauma Center environment with high-acuity surgical caseload
• Completion of all facility-specific modules required within the first week of assignment
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods restricting RTO during select weeks
• No blocked scheduling requests permitted
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates previously employed by the health system or its affiliates are not eligible
• Travelers who completed a full year on assignment must wait at least one year before rebooking
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible for a local bill rate
