Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift position in a specialty surgical unit requiring KY or compact RN licensure and 2 years of acute inpatient experience.

Details

• Specialty Surgical unit with 28 beds, focused on urological and gynecological surgeries and women's health
• Patient ratio of 5-6:1
• RN reads telemetry, no titration required
• Common diagnoses include post-op urological and gynecological cases
• Skills utilized include trach care, dialysis, PCA, feeding tubes, and wound vac management
• Uses Epic EMR
• Night shift schedule, 18:45-07:15, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Provides patient and family education throughout care and at discharge
• Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and serves as mentor/preceptor
• Promotes teamwork and participates in quality and safety improvement initiatives
• Complies with regulatory standards and organizational practice governance model
