Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a day-shift role requiring at least 1 year of experience and ARRT (MRI) certification.
Details
- Adult acute care and outpatient MRI setting, including ER/Trauma
- 4x10 hour day shifts starting at 0700 or 0830
- On-call required on Sundays approximately every 4th to 5th week based on rotation
- Uses GE MRI equipment and PACS system
- Performs abdominal, pelvic, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging
- Special imaging procedures include gradient echo, spin echo, T1/T2 weighted imaging, MIP, MPR, and post-processing techniques
- Potential to float between sister facilities as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience required
- ARRT (R)(MRI) and ARRT (R) certification required
- BLS certification required
- CRT/CA license required if applicable
- Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Epic EMR experience required
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Experience with contrast media preparation/administration and peripheral IV starts
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Additional Information
- Must be comfortable performing a wide range of MRI procedures across multiple anatomical regions
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer; post-offer requests may not be honored
- Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities; refusal to float may impact assignment continuation
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
- Radius rule of 50 miles applies for standard travel rate eligibility
- Former Providence facility staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
- First-time travelers not specified as accepted or excluded
