Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN for a Cardiology unit requiring at least one year of cardiovascular or critical care experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Cardiology department, Cardiac Cath Lab unit
- Adult and geriatric patient population undergoing cardiovascular procedures
- Day shift schedule, 08:00-16:30
- Call rotation required, approximately every 2nd-3rd weekend and 1-3 shifts per week
Requirements
- Active IL Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- BSN preferred
- Current BLS (AHA) certification required
- Current ACLS certification required upon hire and must be maintained
- Minimum one year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab performing cardiac procedures or in a Critical Care setting required
Additional Information
- Deliver comprehensive patient care throughout cardiovascular procedures, addressing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs
- Collaborate with physicians to provide continuous updates on patient status before, during, and after procedures
- Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring equipment is functioning and calibrated
- Manage case-specific supplies and inventory for efficient team workflow
- Monitor and interpret physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Document patient condition thoroughly throughout Cardiovascular Lab stay
- Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel
