Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry float pool position requiring large teaching facility experience and a VT or compact RN license.
Details
- Float pool position supporting central pool Med/Tele units, with travelers floating first
- Supports areas including medicine, surgical, hematology/oncology, orthopedics, cardiothoracic, cardiac, acute rehab, and psychiatry units
- 12-hour day shifts, 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM, 36 hours per week
- Schedule spans Monday through Sunday with no block schedules
- Minimum of every other weekend required, with schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
- Must be flexible with scheduling
- Bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays
Requirements
- Active VT or compact RN license required
- AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required prior to start
- Minimum of 2 years of unit experience required
- Large, teaching facility experience required
- Epic experience within the past 2 years required
- Prior travel experience required
- Employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care across a variety of medical-surgical and telemetry units as part of a float pool team
- Reliable personal transportation strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in the area
- Rates are tiered based on direct-line mileage: local (50 miles or less), radius (51-100 miles), and travel (101+ miles)
