Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a multi-specialty ICU position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and MA RN licensure.

Details

• Work in a 38-bed (28+10) multi-specialty ICU (CCU/SICU/MICU/NEURO/CT)
• 12-hour night shifts (PM, 36hrs/week)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• May float to Med/Surg as needed

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• 2 years of RN ICU experience with multispecialty ICU background required
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN, or BSN (BSN preferred)
• Telemetry experience required with ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency required
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities

Additional Information

• Deliver nursing care in the ICU including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
• Communicate with healthcare team members, patients, and families
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
• Update and manage patient records and interpret computerized data
• Follow nursing department guidelines and policies
• Assist leadership team with quality improvement projects as needed
• Supported by a collaborative and dedicated nursing team
• Must complete a telemetry rhythm test on day one
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
