Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift CT Technologist requiring 2+ years CT experience and ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certification.

Details

• Hospital and trauma center diagnostic imaging setting
• 4x9-hour night shifts per week
• Weekend, on-call, and holiday rotation required
• May flex hours or work overtime as needed to support patient care needs

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program with education verification required
• Current BLS certification required
• ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certification required
• State license required if applicable, must be currently active
• IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required

Additional Information

• Performs computed tomography procedures and administers x-radiation to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation
• May perform radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical, and portable radiographic exams if assigned radiographer duties
• Corroborates patient clinical history with procedure and ensures documentation is available for radiologist review
• Prepares patients for procedures, providing instructions and support to minimize anxiety and gain cooperation
• Selects and operates imaging equipment and accessories to perform procedures
• Positions and immobilizes patients as necessary while respecting comfort and ability
• Prepares and administers contrast media and starts/maintains IV access as appropriate
• Initiates basic life support when necessary
• Provides patient education and input on supply/equipment inventory
• Provides practical instruction for students and partners
• Observes universal protocol, standard precautions, and patient identification procedures
• Applies patient safety principles during all procedures, including transport and assistance
