Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float RN for a night shift float pool position requiring at least 1 year of experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Float pool position within a hospital's Medical Surgical department
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:00)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required across units as part of float pool assignment
Requirements
- Active GA or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and use of rapid response/code teams
- Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management
- Experience with respiratory care including nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, and oxygen administration
- Knowledge of isolation precautions and proper PPE use
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care across medical surgical and telemetry units as part of a flexible float pool team
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, must be finalized prior to submission
- Holiday coverage expected based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Previous Piedmont perm, per diem, or FCSS staff must be separated from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
- Travelers previously not retained by a Piedmont facility must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
