Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU/Pre-Post Op position requiring 2 years of acute care experience and NIHSS certification.
Details
- Work in the Surgical Services Pre-Op/PACU department of a hospital setting
- Pre and post-operative patient care
- Day shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- 36 hours per week across 3 shifts
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active RN license (KY or Compact)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience
- Pre/Post-op nursing experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
Additional Information
- Provide pre and post-operative nursing care within a surgical services unit
- Perform patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Coordinate patient and family education related to care, treatment, and discharge planning
- Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff while serving as a mentor and preceptor
- Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives
