Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float RN for night shifts requiring 2+ years of comparable acuity experience and Cerner EMR proficiency.
Details
- Float pool position assigned across multiple acute care units by nursing supervisor including medical, surgical, trauma, oncology, ortho, neuro, vascular, pulmonary, and cardiac units
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, 6:45pm-7:15am with a 30-minute lunch break
- Patient ratios vary by need but typically 1:6
- Required to work every other weekend
- No on-call requirements
- Not open to block scheduling
Requirements
- Active unencumbered TN or compact RN license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting required
- Prior Cerner EMR charting experience required
- Two references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Floats to a wide variety of units including medical comfort care, surgery/GI, trauma, medical, observation, oncology, nephrology, ortho, joint replacement, neuro, vascular, pulmonary, and cardiac surgery units
- Royal blue scrubs required
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
