Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Endoscopy RN with a CA license for a day-shift assignment requiring ambulatory surgery/endoscopy experience and EPIC proficiency.

Details

• Acute care hospital Endoscopy unit with 81 staffed beds
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Work settings include inpatient, outpatient endoscopy center, and portable/bedside travel cases
• Performs procedures including bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD, and ERCP in both circulate and scrub roles
• Utilizes equipment such as balloon dilators, dilators, disposable grounding pads, electrosurgical units, forceps, and polyp snares
• Administers and monitors conscious sedation, including Versed, and performs post-procedure recovery and airway management
• Starts and maintains IVs and administers pre-procedure medications
• EPIC charting system required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (NIHSS preferred)
• Ambulatory surgery/endoscopy experience within the past 2 years required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, specimen handling/labeling, and specimen recovery from conscious sedation

• Fosters collaborative communication with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers
• Navy blue scrubs required for RNs
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Holiday coverage required with only 1 holiday request approved per contract; observed holidays include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning staff or travelers must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year to be eligible
• First-time travelers may not be considered given the travel experience requirement
