Description

American Traveler is hiring an OR RN with 2+ years of service line experience and required craniotomy/burr hole experience for a 13-week assignment.

Details

• Operating Room unit covering Neuro/Spine, Ortho/Trauma, and General/Robotics/Trauma surgical services
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (6:30 AM-3:00 PM), Monday through Friday
• Call and late days required as needed
• May be required to float to another campus or acceptable unit
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Allscripts charting system experience preferred

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• ACLS, CNOR, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR service line experience required
• Craniotomy and burr hole experience required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience with a range of surgical procedures including trauma, neurology, orthopedic, general surgery, and robotics (Da Vinci Xi) preferred

Additional Information

• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana testing, and any positive result results in automatic cancellation
• Candidates should avoid any products, including CBD, that could result in a positive drug screen
• Must be available to complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting an offer or provide a completion plan
• Non-billable orientation modules averaging 6-8 hours are completed during orientation
• RN/LVN candidates must reside within 150 miles of the facility
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Previous permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
• Travel experience preferred but not required
• First-time travelers may be considered
