Description
American Traveler is seeking a PCU Float RN with prior travel experience and at least 2 years of relevant nursing experience for a day shift float pool position.
Details
- Float pool position requiring rotation across Progressive Care, Medical Surgical, and admission holding units
- Day shift schedule, 4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Required to work every other weekend
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Experience with cardiac telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown, and MS/Tele units
- Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral/central line care
- Experience with oxygen administration and respiratory support equipment
- Experience interpreting dysrhythmias and responding to rapid response/code situations
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care across multiple units including telemetry and medical-surgical floors
- Support cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and rapid response team activities
- Must reside outside a 110-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
- Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with zero tolerance for positive results
- Candidates should avoid CBD or other products that could result in a positive drug screen upon arrival
