Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a night shift (7P-7A) assignment requiring 2+ years of cardiac telemetry experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Medical Surgical Telemetry unit in a 355-bed hospital
• 24-bed unit with generalized cardiac patients ranging from young adult to elderly
• Common diagnoses include chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and pre/post care for cardiac catheterizations (groin & radial) and VATS
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Uses Life Pak, Zoll, Masimo, and Cerner equipment/EHR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
• Associate's degree required
• Experience with Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Social security number and date of birth required for consideration
• AHA certifications required
• Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to a family-oriented cardiac telemetry unit
• Any scrub color is acceptable
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
