Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring CVICU experience and AHA certifications.

Details

• Blended ICU/CVICU unit within a 171-bed community hospital and regional referral center
• 16-bed unit with adult and geriatric patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Common diagnoses include STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, A. Fib RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, trauma, CRRT, TCAR & TVAR
• Uses Baxter pumps and Medhost EHR
• 3x12 night shift schedule (7p-7:30a) with every other weekend required
• Call requirements apply
• Float requirements include Intermediate Care Unit as primary RN and ED holding for admitted patients on an as-needed basis

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA certifications required)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• CVICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Level III Trauma Center and Certified Chest Pain Center
• One call-out allowed per contract; additional call-outs considered case by case with proper documentation
• Weekly orientation provided
• No block scheduling requests; 48-hour scheduling can be considered but not guaranteed
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Located in Lake Havasu City with access to outdoor recreation, dining, and nearby major cities including Las Vegas, Phoenix, and the Grand Canyon
