Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN with 2 years of recent acute care experience and a WI or compact RN license for a night shift assignment.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele (MS/Tele) unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
• Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need
• Floating required as needed
• Skills used include gastrointestinal, IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, peripheral line care, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, wound care, IV insulin protocols, and respiratory care (nasal cannula, oxygen administration, oral suctioning)

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years
• Epic charting experience required
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting, including adult and pediatric dysrhythmia identification
• Community hospital experience preferred

• Provide care within a Med/Surg Tele unit, including cardiac monitoring and emergency response for dysrhythmias

• Candidates without travel experience may be considered if they have 3 years of previous Med/Surg experience
