Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN requiring WI or compact RN license and two years of recent acute care experience.
Details
- Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts (1900-0730), 3 shifts per week
- Weekend and holiday rotations required based on operational need
- Floating required as needed
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active WI RN license or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Minimum two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must pass a telemetry exam prior to starting, including lethal rhythm identification and heart block criteria
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, and blood product administration
- Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and respiratory care (nasal cannula, oxygen administration, suctioning)
- All references must be removed from submission
Additional Information
- Provide care to Med/Surg and Telemetry patients including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
- Position located at a newly built, advanced hospital and wellness center
- Free onsite parking available
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
- Candidates with 3+ years of Med/Surg experience may be considered even without prior travel experience
- Telemetry exam allows two attempts to pass; a third attempt requires completion of a cardiac interpretation review course
