Description

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a night shift float pool position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring 2+ years of similar experience.

Details

  • Float pool position primarily staffed in the Emergency Department to manage boarder patients (med/surg, stepdown, or ICU)
  • May be required to float to an acute care unit as needed
  • High-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and challenging cases
  • Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
  • No on-call requirements
  • Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
  • Block scheduling is generally not approved

Requirements

  • Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC
  • Minimum 2 years of ED experience in a similarly sized Level 1 trauma facility
  • Proven experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments
  • Background managing critical, fast-paced situations in high-volume hospitals with diverse and severe cases
  • Resume with no employment gaps required for consideration
  • ED skills checklist required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency care to boarder patients across various specialties within a high-volume ED setting
  • Accepts local candidates at the same rate as the travel rate
  • Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
