Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with strong vascular and plastics surgery experience for a Level 1 trauma facility.

Details

• Level 1 trauma Operating Room setting with 26 beds
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (7-7 or 7-5:30)
• Weekend requirement of 1:4 to 1:5 rotation, 12-hour shifts
• Call obligation required as needed, including overnight trauma call (11p-7a) or per specialty team rules (Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Ortho)
• Uses Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot equipment
• Epic EMR
• 25-mile float policy between facilities as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (ME or Compact) required upon submission
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Vascular surgery experience required, including both open and endovascular cases
• Plastics surgery experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• CNOR certification preferred
• AHA certifications must be completed before start date if not already held
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

Additional Information

• Preferred experience includes General, GU/GYN, Ortho trauma, Ortho joints, Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Plastics, Dental, and Endovascular cases
• Candidates should be flexible, accountable, timely, and strong team players
• Teal scrubs issued by the hospital
• Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local and are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• Candidates who worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months must disclose this at time of consideration
• RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract at manager's discretion
