Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with strong vascular and plastics surgery experience for a day shift travel assignment.
Details
- Level 1 trauma Operating Room setting with 26 beds
- 1:1 patient ratios
- 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
- Weekend rotation of 1:4, 12-hour shifts
- Call requirements include overnight trauma call (11p-7a) and specialty team call rotations as applicable (Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Ortho)
- Uses Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot surgical equipment
- Epic EMR
- Float policy within a 25-mile radius between facilities as needed
Requirements
- Active RN license (Maine or Compact) required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA certifications must be completed prior to start if submitted as non-AHA equivalents)
- CNOR certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
- Vascular surgery experience required, including both open and endovascular cases
- Plastics surgery experience required
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Preferred experience in General, GU/GYN, Ortho trauma, Ortho joints, Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Dental, and Endovascular procedures
- Epic EMR experience required
- Driver's license required for consideration
- 2 professional references required
Additional Information
- Provide surgical care across a range of specialty procedures within a high-acuity Level 1 trauma OR
- Flexible, accountable, timely, and team-oriented personality fit preferred
- Teal scrubs issued by the hospital
- Smartphone, laptop, and AirPod use prohibited on the unit
- RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract
- Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local, which may affect pay rate eligibility
- Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
- Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months must disclose this upon consideration
