Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and ACLS/PALS certification.

Details

• 16-bed emergency department in a hospital setting, open around the clock
• Patient population includes adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics with emergent, urgent, and trauma cases
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Uses cardiac monitors and bladder scan equipment
• Charting via Medhost EDIS
• Night shift schedule, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Occasional floating required
• No call requirements
• 36 weekly guaranteed hours

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• ADN minimum required
• Skilled in vent management and care of critical/trauma patients
• Experience with port access, IV insertion, and phlebotomy
• Experience with cardiac drips and moderate sedation
• Experience caring for behavioral health patients
• ED/trauma experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration
• Copies of required certifications must be provided

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care to a diverse patient population including trauma and behavioral health cases
• Team-based unit culture with an emphasis on maintaining composure under pressure
• Black scrubs required; t-shirts, capris, clothing with inappropriate wording or images, and open-toe shoes are not permitted
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility
• Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
