Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level III trauma community hospital, requiring CVICU experience and AZ or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Blended ICU unit within a 171-bed community hospital and regional referral center
• Certified Chest Pain Center with Level III trauma designation
• 16-bed unit caring for adult and geriatric patients with a 1:2 patient ratio
• Common diagnoses include STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, A. Fib RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, trauma, CRRT, TCAR and TVAR
• Uses Baxter pumps and Medhost EHR
• 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with every other weekend required
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating required to the Intermediate Care Unit as primary RN and to ED holding for admitted patients on an as-needed basis
• One call-out allowed per contract; additional absences require documentation and case-by-case review

Requirements

• Active RN license (AZ or compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications required)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• CVICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to a blended adult and geriatric ICU population
• Weekly orientation provided
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel rate; local candidates within that radius may apply at local rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
• No block scheduling requests accepted; 48-hour work weeks may be considered but not guaranteed
• Located in Lake Havasu City, AZ, offering nearby outdoor recreation, dining, and scenic mountain and lake views
• Convenient access to Las Vegas, Phoenix, Grand Canyon National Park, and Southern California
