Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU, requiring PALS certification and at least one year of relevant experience.
Details
- Cardio PICU unit within a hospital setting
- Care for pediatric patients with cardiovascular conditions ranging from simple to complex
- Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by Oklahoma Board of Nursing or current multistate compact (eNLC) license
- BLS and PALS certifications required (American Heart Association only)
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required (BSN preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care
Additional Information
- Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and notes changes in physician orders
- Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Monitors physiological data and intervenes as needed
- Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
- Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
- Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation is required before reapplying afterward
- Compliance requirements must be completed promptly, as start dates will not be pushed
