Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 1+ years of OR experience and an active NJ or compact RN license.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• AM shift schedule, 7a-8p, 4 days per week, 9.5 hours per day
• Uses Epic for charting
• No on-call responsibilities
• May float to a nearby sister hospital

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred

Additional Information

• Perform pre-operative and postoperative patient assessments and education
• Provide individualized patient care based on surgical procedure and anesthesia type
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care and patient progress
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and two-patient identifier verification
• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical conditions, procedures, and equipment
• Support Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) evaluation and completion when applicable
• Local candidates accepted at a different pay rate
• Returning travelers may stay on assignment up to one year from the initial start date, followed by a required break before returning
