Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Case Manager for an acute hospital setting requiring 2 years of case management/utilization review experience and an active NC or Compact RN license.

Details

• Acute hospital setting within the Case Management department
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics across ICU and Medical-Surgical specialties
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• One weekend day per month required
• No on-call responsibilities
• McKesson charting system experience preferred
• Bi-weekly orientation schedule

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required in hand
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience preferred
• Experience in case management, utilization review, discharge planning, needs assessment, and DME ordering
• Familiarity with CMS, HIPAA, NCQA, and OSHA regulatory guidelines
• 1 supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions during flu season (Oct 31–Mar 31)

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include coordinating patient care plans, discharge planning, and utilization review for adult and geriatric patients
• Works within an acute hospital environment supporting ICU and Medical-Surgical units

• Candidates with prior permanent employment at the health system must not have worked there within the past 6 months
• RTO must be limited to 5-7 days when applying
