Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Outpatient setting requiring 1 year of outpatient experience.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Treats patients across orthopedic, spinal, and neurologic conditions including post-op cervical, shoulder, and spinal surgeries, total hip and knee replacements, stroke, TBI, and other neurologic disorders
• Uses charting system experience of any type

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an outpatient setting
• BLS certification required
• State license required if applicable, with proof of pending licensure accepted prior to start
• Charting system experience required (any EMR)
• Skilled in assessment, body mechanics, home exercise programs, and patient/family education

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients per physician referral or direct access, and supervising physical therapy assistants
• Involves competency in modalities, exercise equipment, and functional or ergonomic evaluations such as Work Hardening or Functional Capacity Evaluations
• Requires ongoing communication with referring physicians through evaluation and progress notes
• May involve some administrative duties such as scheduling and coordinating patient visits
• Open to first-time travelers
