Description

American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Medicine Diagnostic Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and RVT and ARDMS credentialing required.

Details

• Acute care hospital and outpatient clinic settings, floating between both facilities as needed
• MFM diagnostic sonography with a caseload of approximately 45 visits per day
• 4x8 hour day shifts, varied start times between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM
• Approximately 1 weekend shift required every 4 to 6 weeks
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic charting system and GE ultrasound equipment with PACS
• Performs OB/GYN, general, vascular, and small parts ultrasound studies
• Vascular studies include arterial mapping, carotid, duplex, and lower/upper extremity arterial and venous studies

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ultrasound technologist experience required
• BLS certification required
• RVT certification required
• ARDMS credential required in Abdomen, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, or MSK (multiple specialties preferred)
• License required if applicable
• Completion of a two-year Allied Health education program, Associate of Applied Science degree, or bachelor's degree from an accredited ultrasound program
• Vascular experience required, including arterial ultrasounds of bypass grafts and stents
• Epic charting experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted

Additional Information

• Performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging for maternal fetal medicine, high-risk OB, and general abdominal cases
• May float within scope of practice to meet facility needs
• Must be willing to float between two sister facilities in the same city
• Required to work holidays as needed by the facility
• Candidates cannot live within 50 miles of either facility
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted per assignment, with no RTO during the first 2 weeks
• All RTO requests must be disclosed and approved at time of consideration
• Required to complete lab work and Livescan fingerprinting within 48 hours of signing, with fingerprinting completed in person in Minnesota prior to start date
