Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU/PCU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring TX or compact RN licensure and critical care experience.

Details

• Work in a newly opened PCU supporting ICU patient overflow
• Care for MS/Tele, PCU, and/or critical care patients with floating to these areas during low census
• MS/Tele patient ratio of 6:1; Critical Care ratio of 2:1
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 19:00-7:00
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• TNCC/TCAR certification required, or must be obtained within 30 days of starting if not already held
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care experience required
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Experience with critical care skills including arterial line management, central/PICC line care, ventilator management, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with neuro care including EVD, intracranial bleeds, and post-TPA care preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care across PCU and ICU settings, including cardiac monitoring, ventilator management, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Support rapid response and code team activities as needed
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for positive results
• RTO must be submitted with initial consideration for the assignment
