Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center offering night shifts and requiring ARRT-CT certification with angiogram experience.
Details
- Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center with 492 beds
- Radiology department serving inpatient and outpatient adult patients, with occasional pediatric outpatient/ED cases
- Average of 4 patients per hour, approximately 40 patients per day
- 2 CT techs and an assistant staffed per shift
- CT equipment is all GE
- Uses Cerner EMR
- 10-hour night shifts, 9:00 PM-7:30 AM, Monday-Thursday
- May float throughout the main Radiology department to different areas
- Weekend rotation varies, typically once per month based on departmental needs
- On-call is voluntary
Requirements
- BLS and ARRT required
- ARRT-CT required for CT Tech role
- State license preferred if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of experience with strong skills in required areas; first-time travelers considered with at least 2 years experience
- Angiogram experience required
- Stroke perfusion experience strongly preferred
- Experience with biopsy drainage and trauma cases
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging including biopsy drainage, trauma, angiogram, and stroke perfusion procedures
- Orientation includes one 8-hour hospital orientation followed by 2-3 shifts on the unit with another tech on dayshift
- Holiday expectations include coverage of one major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy, though specific dates off are not guaranteed prior to arrival
- RTO requests exceeding 7 days require manager approval via email and may require contract extension
- Scrubs of any color permitted
- Free parking available
- Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Former perm staff must wait 6 months before being considered as a traveler
