Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring DaVinci robotics and multi-specialty surgical experience.
Details
- Operating Room setting within a hospital environment
- Cases include DaVinci robotics, ortho total joints, sports medicine, spine, urology, general surgery, and endoscopy (EGD/colonoscopies)
- Schedule is Monday-Friday, 06:30-15:00, with flexibility required
- On-call responsibilities based on department needs, currently 1-2 weekday night call shifts per week
- Weekend requirement of 2 weekend days per 4-week schedule
- May require floating onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Experience with DaVinci robotics required
- Experience in ortho total joints, sports medicine, spine, urology, general surgery, and endoscopy required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
Additional Information
- Provide perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties
- Holiday coverage required for Christmas Eve
- First-time travelers may be considered given required specialty experience
- Accepts local candidates, though a radius rule may apply that could reduce the pay rate
- Radius requirements vary by facility location
- Travelers should begin discussing extension opportunities with their manager at least 45 days before the assignment end date
