Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a multimodality (X-Ray & CT) role in an acute care hospital, requiring 1+ year of CT experience and ARRT certification.
Details
- Multimodality Tech role covering both X-Ray and CT
- Adult Acute Care and Adult Outpatient settings, including Emergency Department cases
- 3x12-hour night shifts, Saturday-Monday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 1:1 patient ratio
- No on-call requirement
- No floating required between units or sister facilities
- Uses Epic for charting and Sectra for PACS
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of CT experience required
- BLS, ARRT (R), ARRT (CT), SCRQSA (R), and SCRQSA (CT) certifications required
- License required if applicable
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with abdomen, pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal CT imaging
- Skilled in contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, and peripheral IV starts preferred
- Experience with vascular CTA and multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) preferred
- Proficiency with PACS and Siemens equipment preferred
- Teaching and community hospital experience preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
Additional Information
- Perform CT and X-Ray imaging across abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, and musculoskeletal regions
- Utilize image display and post-processing tools including MRP and ROI measurement
- Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Scrub colors required are black and/or teal
- Free parking provided with pass distributed at start date
- Radiation badge required, to be provided by the assigned agency
- Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
- During hurricane season (June-November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
- Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis within a 60-mile radius
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration
