Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring NC or compact licensure and prior charge RN experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit with primarily Med/Surg patient population
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• 1:6 patient ratios
• Charge RN shifts required as needed
• Floating required across all facility campuses as needed
• Utilizes Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required; NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Previous Charge RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Must pass a facility EKG competency exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• Skilled in blood product administration, peripheral line care, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with Heparin, Insulin, and PCA administration
• Experience with nasal cannula and isolation precautions
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with Rapid Response/Code team protocols

Additional Information

• 26-week assignment length with no 13-week option available
• Provide direct patient care including EKG monitoring, wound care, and medication administration
• Utilize Rapid Response teams for emergent patient needs
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
• Local rates do not apply for this position
• RTO must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO accepted
