Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a day-shift travel assignment requiring at least 1 year of med/surg acute care experience and prior travel experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit within an acute care hospital setting
• 3x12 Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to Med/Surg Tele, Med Surg Neuro, Med Surg Onc, Med Surg Ortho, and general Medical Surgical units
• Occasional floating to another campus within the health system may be required
• EPIC EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active Oregon RN license required (pending license applications accepted)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS, NIHSS, and Chemo certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg acute care experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management skills preferred
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, peripheral line care, and PICC line management skills required
• Two professional references from within the past 2 years required, at least one from a supervisor
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Tele unit including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral/PICC line care as needed
• First-time travelers will not be considered; prior travel experience is required
• Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility
• Previous PeaceHealth employees must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates with more than one DUI are not eligible for consideration
• Proof of vaccination status must be disclosed at time of consideration
• RTO must be disclosed and approved prior to contract signing, with limited days available depending on offer type
