Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 1+ years of CT experience and ARRT-CT certification for a Level 1 Trauma Hospital and Comprehensive Stroke Center.
Details
- Level 1 Trauma Hospital and Comprehensive Stroke Center with 24/7 CT coverage
- Average of 120 patients per 24-hour period across outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department cases
- Day shift 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM on alternating schedule
- Night shift techs cover both CT and diagnostic X-Ray, divided among 3 techs per shift
- Equipment includes 3 Siemens Somatom Edge and Force CT scanners and MedRad injectors
- Venipuncture preferred but not required on some shifts
Requirements
- ARRT, ARRT-CT, and BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of CT experience required within the past 12 months
- Hospital experience required within the past 12 months
- Level II Trauma Center experience required
- Preferred experience in teaching hospital, community hospital, and Level I Trauma settings
- Preferred Cerner charting system experience
- Skills in abdomen/pelvis imaging with and without contrast required
- Preferred skills include brain perfusion, chest imaging, vascular chest studies, and post processing
- MT RT license required upon start; license required if applicable
- References required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging across adult and pediatric acute care, outpatient, and emergency department settings
- Prepare and/or administer contrast media as part of routine duties
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates not accepted; must reside 75+ miles from facility
- Former perm employees must observe a 2-year break before returning
- No floating to affiliate hospitals unless agreed upon during interview or offer
