Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level II Trauma Center experience and a WA or compact RN license.

• General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric patient population
• Level II Trauma Center with STEMI and Stroke Certified designations
• 1:4 patient ratio
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 1845-0715
• Floating within the hospital may be required based on patient care needs
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand
• Minimum 5 years of ER experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Epic charting experience required
• Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Skilled in trauma care including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations
• Experience managing cardiac dysrhythmias and obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG
• Experience with ventilator management, intubation, and BiPAP/CPAP
• Experience administering emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation
• Experience caring for psychiatric emergencies including acute psychosis and suicidal patients
• Experience with pediatric emergency conditions such as asthma, seizures, and infections
• Experience with neurological emergencies including CVA and traumatic brain injury
• Skilled in orthopedic trauma care including splinting

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across adult and pediatric trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases
• Perform triage and apply isolation precautions/PPE as needed
• Complete facility orientation modules signed off by unit managers
• Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment, with all time off requests disclosed prior to consideration
• No block scheduling accommodations available
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as non-local candidates
• Travel pairs accepted
• Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being considered for a travel assignment
