Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position on a renal care unit requiring 2 years of acute inpatient RN telemetry experience and a KY or compact RN license.

Details

Acute Renal Care unit with 34 beds
Patient ratio of 4-5:1
Renal-focused unit caring for ESRD and peritoneal dialysis patients
Medication management including heparin drips and insulin
Skills required include dialysis assessment, PCA, feeding tubes, and wound vac care
Uses Epic EMR
Night shift, 6:45pm-7:15am, three 12-hour shifts per week
Every other weekend required

Requirements

Active RN license (KY or Compact) currently in hand
Current certifications: BLS and NIHSS
Minimum 2 years acute inpatient RN telemetry experience required
Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care
Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff, functioning as mentor/preceptor
Facilitate patient and family education throughout stay and at discharge
Participate in quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives
Comply with regulatory standards and Practice Governance model
No local rate drop
