Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN - Telemetry for a Post Acute Neuro unit requiring 2 years of acute care RN experience and KY or compact licensure.
Details
- Post Acute Neuro unit with 30 beds and a 5:1 patient ratio
- Patient population includes neuro and oncology diagnoses
- RN reads telemetry with no titration responsibilities
- Administers BP meds, heparin, pain medications, and chemo (certified staff only)
- Uses IV pumps, PCA pumps, dynamaps, and feeding pumps
- Uses Epic EMR
- Night shift schedule from 6:45p-7:15a, 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts
- Required to work every other weekend
Requirements
- Active RN license (KY or compact) currently in hand
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical outcomes
- Provides patient and family education throughout care and at discharge
- Mentors and precepts staff while fostering teamwork and collaboration
- Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel
- Participates in quality improvement and regulatory compliance efforts
- Local candidates accepted at full rate
