Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring 2 years of acute care experience and NIHSS certification, working night shifts at a Louisville facility.
Details
- Med-Surg/PCU mixed acuity unit with 9-14 beds
- Patient ratio of 4-5:1
- Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 6:45pm-7:15am, 3 days per week
- Every other weekend required per unit schedule
- Mixed acuity general med/surg patient population
- RN responsibilities include reading telemetry and titrating limited medications such as heparin
- Uses Epic EMR
- Performs EKG, trach care, PCA management, wound vac care, and feeding tube management as needed
Requirements
- Active RN license (KY or Compact) required
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient RN experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical interventions
- Provides patient and family education specific to care needs and discharge planning
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff
- Functions as a mentor/preceptor and participates in quality and safety improvement efforts
- Works within a supportive team environment with helpful peers
