Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry float pool position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring BLS/ACLS and prior trauma experience.
Details
- Float pool role covering all Med/Surg units as needed within a Level 1 trauma center
- Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Deferred scheduling with no block scheduling approved by most units
- Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Active RN license (GA state or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
- Prior experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospitals required
- Proven success managing complex, fast-paced, and critical trauma cases required
- Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
- Work history with no employment gaps greater than 60 days required for consideration
- Skills checklist, certification cards, and Nursys license verification required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide Med/Surg and telemetry nursing care while floating across all med surg units as needed
- Work in a high-acuity, inner-city trauma environment handling complex and challenging cases
- No RTO permitted during the assignment
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate as the travel rate
- Badge-appropriate photo and complete demographic information required in profile
