Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring CVVH machine expertise and a WI or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at a Trauma Level I teaching hospital
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 1900-0730, with every other weekend rotation
• Some holiday coverage required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Floating required as needed
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the CVICU specialty
• CVICU experience required
• Experience with NextStage CVVH machine required
• Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable unit experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required, within the past 12 months preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Skills required include IV therapy, arterial line management, central and PICC line care, blood product administration, ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and CRRT/CVVHD
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting

Additional Information

• Provide direct care to cardiovascular ICU patients including those with CABG, TAVR, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, and post cardiac surgery needs
• Manage patients requiring continuous cardiac drips, vasoactive medications, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Traveler must complete a telemetry exam with defined passing criteria before starting, including up to two attempts with possible completion of a cardiac interpretation review course if needed
• Previous travel experience required
